Insights & supply chain guidesSupply chain guides for the next buying decision
Practical first-party guides for the supplier deposit and the next reorder. I make the assumptions, cash exposure and review points visible before a buying commitment.
I write for founders, category and operations teams managing white-label and private-label ecommerce brands. A supplier quote, a sales export and a stock count each show part of the decision. These guides help bring the parts together, without treating a spreadsheet result as purchase approval.
Start with the question you need to answer. The sourcing checklist covers evidence before a first order or supplier change. The inventory guide goes deeper on reorder quantities, dated arrivals and the difference between theoretical coverage and available stock. Examples are illustrative, not client results or forecasts.

A short review before committing cash
I start with the next commitment, then test its evidence. These four questions work across both guides:
- What demand supports the buy? Separate repeatable sell-through from a campaign spike, stockout or seasonal window.
- What makes supply credible? Check supplier evidence, samples, quality status and the date stock becomes sellable.
- What cash does it commit? Look beyond unit price to landed cost, batch depth, deposits and payment dates.
- Who approves the unresolved risk? Record assumptions, alternatives and a named owner before ordering.
If the evidence changes, protect, cut or re-time the commitment. AI can organise the research and reporting; I review the assumptions, and your team retains purchase approval. Confidentiality and NDAs belong in the scope. My advisory services apply this review to your category, supplier or workflow; detailed diagnostics are agreed separately.
